HAMMOND, La. – GeoSurfaces will serve as the presenting sponsor of all rounds of the 2025 Southland Conference Baseball and Softball Championships which are hosted by Southeastern Louisiana University, SLU Director of Athletics Jay Artigues announced Tuesday.

"We're eager to host our fellow Southland Conference programs at North Oak Park and Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. We have first-class baseball and softball facilities that are enhanced by the playing surfaces provided by GeoSurfaces."
The format for the SLC baseball and softball tournaments will see the top two seeds each host a four-team bracket with the highest remaining seed of the two bracket winners hosting the three-game championship series. It is the first time since 2022 the league has used the format for baseball and the first-time ever softball has used the format.
The No. 2 seed SLU softball team (43-13) will host the Southland Conference Softball Championship Hammond Bracket presented by GeoSurfaces, which runs Thursday-Sunday. The SLC softball championship series pitting the winners of the Hammond and Lake Charles brackets will be held May 8-10 at the highest remaining seed.
Baseball will use the same format with bracket play set for May 15-18 at the No. 1 and 2 seeds and the best-of-three championship series on tap for May 22-24. The Lion baseball team (33-11, 18-6 SLC) is currently in sole possession of first place in the conference standings with six league games remaining.
The Southland Conference Softball Championship Hammond Bracket presented by GeoSurfaces will open with a 1 p.m. game between third-seeded Nicholls and sixth-seeded SFA Thursday. SLU will host seventh-seeded HCU immediately following at 4 p.m. Thursday. All games of the Southland Conference Softball Championship Hammond Bracket presented by GeoSurfaces will be televised on ESPN+.
