NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team finished day two of the NOLA Classic undefeated against McNeese and Tarleton State to end the regular season Saturday afternoon at the White Sands Volleyball Courts.
The Lady Lions (12-18, 3-5 SLC) returned to the sand to open day two of the NOLA Classic with a 3-2 victory over conference rival McNeese (12-17, 2-6 SLC). The Cowgirls claimed a two set victory early in the match on court one, but Southeastern quickly recovered to secure an advantage with three wins.
SLU ended its final match of the regular season with a 3-2 victory over Tarleton State (5-15) to close out the day. The Lady Lions battled to secure the win against the Texans to post a 2-2 overall record in the NOLA Classic. Makayla Hicks and Mia Sauers extended their winning streak on court three, while Aspen Steele and Anne Bruackmiller took care of business on court five with a 21-15, 21-13 victory.
Southeastern will return to New Orleans, La. to begin its postseason run in the 2025 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championship Wednesday, April 23-25. Sixth seed SLU will open the first round of the tournament against No. 3 seed San Jose State at 10 a.m. All matches will be played at Privateer Beach.
