SUGAR LAND, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team is currently in seventh place after day one of the Colin Montgomerie Invitational Monday at the Sweetwater Country Club.
 
The Lions finished with a team score of 598 (+30) following the first two rounds. Abilene Christian (+4) holds a six-stroke lead heading into Tuesday's final round.
 
Preston Paulk (+4) leads Southeastern and sits in a tie for 17^th place in the individual standings. Griffin Dorr (+8, T31st), Viggo Hed (+10, T46th), Colby Sullivan (+12, T59th) and Patrick Blaum (+13, T63rd) were the other participants for the Lions Monday.
 
New Mexico Junior College's Elias Pettersson is the individual leader following day one. He holds a two-stroke lead after shooting three-under par over the first 36 holes.
 
Southeastern will be paired with North Dakota, Texas Southern and Prairie View for Tuesday's final round, which tees off at 8 a.m. Live scoring, provided by host HCU, will be accessible via the golf schedule page at www.LionSports.net.
