HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's tennis team will close out its four-match home stand Saturday, hosting McNeese for a 1 p.m. SLC match at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
SLU (10-3, 2-2 SLC) enters Saturday's contest on a three-match winning streak. The Lions backed up 5-2 conference wins over Lamar and UIW with a 4-2 nonconference victory over Loyola of New Orleans Tuesday.
Reigning SLC Player of the Week
Taisia Bolsova (9-4, 3-1 SLC) and
Panatchakorn Suanarsa (9-4, 2-2 SLC) share the team lead in singles victories for the Lions.
Aitana Darder (8-3, 2-2 SLC) and Claudia Di Leanardo (7-6, 1-3 SLC) also have winning singles marks for SLU this spring.
Darder and
Leana Gomez (8-4, 2-1 SLC) boast the team's best doubles mark on the No. 2 court. Suanarsa and
Bente Bierma (7-5, 1-2 SLC) comprise Southeastern's No.1 doubles duo, while Bolsova and Di Leonardo (2-2, 2-1 SLC) share court 3.
McNeese (14-4, 1-2 SLC) is coming off a 4-2 victory over New Mexico State Thursday. The Cowgirls defeated SLU, 6-1, last March in Lake Charles.
Following Saturday's contest, SLU will take a week off before facing Missouri in a 2 p.m. neutral site match on the LSU campus March 30.
