HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team will travel to Thibodaux, La. and return to the sand to participate in the Southland Mid-Year Invitational this weekend.

SLU (4-10, 2-1 SLC) begins the weekend looking to regain its position in the winning category after falling 1-4 in the Sugar Beach Bash in Youngsville, La. Southeastern dropped 3-2 to Spring Hill before securing a 4-1 victory over Central Arkansas. The Lady Lions closed out day one with a 4-1 loss to UT Martin and returned to the sand with a 3-1 loss to ULM to cap the tournament.

Opening day, Southeastern will face Nicholls (0-12, 0-2 SLC) Friday before moving on in a rematch against conference rival McNeese (8-6, 1-1 SLC) at 9 a.m. The Lady Lions will close the day against HCU (5-11, 0-2 SLC) at 1 p.m.

SLU will return to the sand Saturday morning at 10 a.m. to face Boise State (6-9, 2-0 SLC), then compete against Stephen F. Austin (9-7, 1-1 SLC) at 1 p.m. to cap day two of the mid-year conference tournament.

The Lady Lions will end the weekend Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. against San Jose State (4-12, 1-1 SLC).

Concluding Sunday's match, SLU will travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. to face Southern Miss Friday, April 4.
