HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's track and field teams will compete in its final meet before next month's Southland Conference Indoor Championships Friday, when they participate in the LSU Twilight at the Carl Maddox Field House.
A total of 41 Lions and Lady Lions will be in action Friday. The meet opens at 9 a.m. with the women's weight throw competition and live scoring, provided by host LSU, will be accessible via the track and field schedule page at
www.LionSports.net.
On the men's side,
Terrell Webb (weight throw) and
Olu Ogunyemi (60-meter hurdles) boast the best performances in the Southland this season in their respective events.

Josh-Ty Brown (6
th, shot put) are the other Lions who carry top-10 SLC performances of the season into Friday's meet.
Marvellous Asemota is one of the highlight performers for the Lady Lions, as she has the Southland's third-best time in the 60 meters. Jayden Jackson is ninth in the league in the shot put heading into Friday's meet.
Lion
Ian McAlpine (long jump, high jump, 60-meter hurdles and 400 meters) and Lady Lion Kayla Cleveland (long jump, high, jump, 60-meter hurdles and 400 meters) will be the two busiest Southeastern student-athletes Friday, competing in four events each.
The Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships are scheduled for March 2-3 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama.
