HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football and volleyball teams continue Southland Conference play, select members of the cross country teams will compete in the NCAA South Central Regional Championships, the men's and women's basketball teams hit the road for nonconference action and the baseball team hosts its final fall scrimmage during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The No. 14/19 Southeastern football team (7-3, 5-1 SLC) will close out the road portion of its regular season schedule Saturday, traveling to UIW for a 2 p.m. contest in San Antonio.
 
The two-time reigning Southland Conference regular season champion SLU indoor volleyball team (18-8, 10-4 SLC) will wrap up its regular season schedule this week with a pair or SLC road matches. The Lady Lions will head to Nicholls Tuesday, before finishing out the week at McNeese Thursday. First serve for both of Southeastern's matches this week is set for 6:30 p.m.
 
Ava Pitarro, Tanner Salsman and Landen Schillage will represent the Lion and Lady Lion cross country teams at this week's NCAA South Central Regional Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. The women's 6K race opens the day's action Friday at 10:30 a.m. with the men's 10K race following at 11:30 a.m.
 
The Southeastern men's basketball team (0-2) will continue its challenging season-opening road swing this week. The Lions will be in Atlanta Monday to face Georgia Tech at 8 p.m., before closing the week at Mississippi State with a 2 p.m. contest Saturday in Starkville, Miss.
 
The SLU women's basketball team (1-1) has one game on the slate this week. The Lady Lions will travel to Arkansas for a 6:30 p.m. contest Thursday in Fayetteville, Ark.
 
The reigning Southland Conference regular season champion Lion baseball team will close out its fall schedule Sunday, hosting Southern for a 1 p.m. scrimmage at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.  
 
On the Air
Monday's men's basketball contest will be televised on ACC Network, while Thursday's women's basketball game and Saturday's men's basketball game can be seen on SEC Network+. Thursday's volleyball match and Saturday's football game will air on ESPN+.
 
The 2025 season of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo will continue Monday at 7 p.m. at Brady's in downtown Hammond. Scelfo and host Allen Waddell will discuss all things Lion football on the hour-long show weekly during the season, which airs on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
 
City of Hammond Mayor Pete Panepinto will be Monday's Community Spotlight Guest.
 
Saturday's football game will air on the same Southeastern Sports Radio Network affiliates.
