HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's tennis team will look to close out the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule on a high note, when it hosts the 2025 George E. Fourmaux Fed Cup Invitational this week at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
The tournament runs Friday through Sunday and matches will be played under Fed Cup rules (four singles, one doubles). Southeastern will be joined in the field by Southland Conference rival Lamar, along with Dillard, LSU Alexandria and Louisiana Christian.
SLU will open play Friday with a 1 p.m. match versus Dillard, before playing the doubles portion of its match with LSU Alexandria at 3 p.m. Saturday will see the Lions face Lamar at 9 a.m. and Louisiana Christian at 5 p.m. Southeastern will close out the tournament Sunday with the singles portion of their contest with LSUA set for 11 a.m.
The tournament's namesake is Fourmaux, a former SLU assistant coach who lost his battle with cancer in 2016.
Southeastern will open the spring portion of its schedule Jan. 30 at LSU Alexandria.
