HAMMOND, La. – The two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana University softball team continued its fall schedule with an 8-2 victory over Copiah-Lincoln Community College in a 10-inning exhibition Friday evening at North Oak Park.
 
Southeastern improved to 7-0 this fall with the scrimmage victory.
 
Six Southeastern pitchers – Haley Crawford, Cera Blanchard, Hallie Burns, Macie LaRue, Katherine Thiessen and Bre Clark – combined to hold Co-Lin to four hits and finished with 14 strikeouts. Thiessen struck out a team-high four, while Blanchard fanned three.
 
Maria Detillier opened the scoring for SLU with a two-run home run and was one of three Lady Lions with two hits, along with Cydnee Schneider and Kailey Dixon. Detillier, Schneider, Dixon, Thiessen, Katie Lott, Brilee Ford and Colleen Kulivan all drove in runs in the victory.
 
Southeastern will close out its fall scrimmage schedule Friday, hosting Pearl River Community College at 5 p.m. for a 10-inning exhibition at North Oak Park.
