Southeastern Fourth Following Opening Rounds of LaTour Intercollegiate

SLU (-10) wraps up fall season Tuesday at 8 a.m.

MATHEWS, La. –The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team sits in fourth place following Monday's first two rounds of the LaTour Intercollegiate at the LaTour Golf Club.
 
SLU shot 10-under par over the first 36 holes to sit near the top of the leaderboard. Southeastern's second-round team score of 278 was the third-lowest round of the day and the Lions led the entire field with 49 birdies. East Texas A&M (-28) sits atop the leaderboard heading into Tuesday's final round.
 
Coming off a top-10 finish in last week's Turtle Point Invite, Gavin Ingram was SLU's top performer Monday. The Derbyshire, England native opened the day with a 68 and finished four-under par for the day to sit in a tie for seventh place in the individual standings.
 
Southeastern's Lorenzo Palmieri and Colby Sullivan, who is participating as an individual this week, both shot one-under par Monday and enter Tuesday tied for 18th place in the individual standings.
 
Griffin Dorr made his return to the lineup for SLU after missing the past two tournaments and carded both Southeastern's highest and lowest round of the day. After scuffling to an opening round 78, Dorr carded a 66 in the second round to move up to 23rd place after 36 holes.
 
Dorr's six-under par showing in round two was the lowest round by a Lion thus far in 2025-26 and the third-best round of the day among the field. Patrick Blaum shot a 70 in round two and is in 29th place (+1).
 
Landen East (+6, T49th) rounds out the starting five for SLU. East Texas A&M's Janis Eril fired a 62 in the second round to take a five-stroke lead in the individual standings into Tuesday's final round.
 
Southeastern will play with Southland Conference foes East Texas A&M and HCU, along with Midland (TX) College for Tuesday's final round, which tees off at 8 a.m. Live scoring, provided by host Nicholls, will be accessible via the golf schedule page at www.LionSports.net.
