HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University will celebrate Homecoming this week with the SLU football, soccer, two-time reigning Southland Conference indoor volleyball, cross country, golf, tennis and two-time reigning SLC Tournament softball teams will all be in action this week.
The Southeastern football team (4-2, 2-0 SLC) will host conference foe Northwestern State for Homecoming this Saturday at 4 p.m. The annual Homecoming Parade starts at 11:30 a.m., while the Homecoming king and queen will be announced at halftime of Saturday's contest.
The SLU soccer team (3-6-3, 2-2-1 SLC) will open the week's action with a 7 p.m. match at UIW Thursday. Southeastern then returns home to host East Texas A&M Sunday at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear green to Sunday's Green Out game.
The Lady Lion indoor volleyball team (13-5, 5-1 SLC) will hit the road for a pair of SLC matches this week. SLU will open the week with a 6:30 p.m. match at UTRGV Thursday, before heading to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for a 1 p.m. match Saturday.
The Southeastern men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the Watson College Classic Friday to close out its pre-SLC Championship schedule. The meet starts at 7:30 a.m. in Clinton, Miss.
The SLU golf team will continue its fall schedule this week. The Lions will be in Killen, Ala. Monday and Tuesday to participate in the Turtle Point Invite.
The Lion tennis team will compete in its second fall tournament this week. Southeastern will be in New Orleans Friday through Sunday for the Dillard Invitational.
The Southeastern softball team continues its fall scrimmage schedule with a pair of 10-inning exhibitions this week. SLU will welcome Northwest Florida State Wednesday and LSU Alexandria Friday. Both games will start at 5 p.m.
On the Air
This week's football, soccer and volleyball action will be televised on ESPN+. Sunday's soccer match will air on KSLU 90.9 The Lion.
The 2025 season of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo will continue Monday at 7 p.m. at Brady's in downtown Hammond. Scelfo and host Allen Waddell will discuss all things Lion football on the hour-long show weekly during the season, which airs on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
Saturday's football game will air on the same Southeastern Sports Radio Network affiliates.
