Glorioso Represents SLU on SLC All-Academic Team

Southeastern senior adds to postseason honors after thriving in the classroom and on the course

HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University senior Grayson Glorioso added to his postseason honors Friday, as he was selected to the 2024 Southland Conference All-Academic Men's Golf Teams, the league office announced.

Glorioso, a communication major with a 3.51 cumulative grade point average, earned second team honors to go with his second team All-SLC notice. The Metairie, Louisiana native was the Lions' top performer throughout his final collegiate campaign.

Glorioso finished the season with a 71.67 stroke average over 27 rounds. He posted top-20 finishes in five different tournaments, including top-10 showings at the HCU Colin Montgomerie Invitational (T3rd), The Big Texan (4th) and the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate (T9th).

The top-10 finishes at HCU and The Big Texan allowed him to earn SLC Golfer of the Month honors. His low round of the season was a 66 at the HCU tournament and was one of 13 subpar rounds for Glorioso in 2023-24.

HCU's Ben Caton was named the Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Year and was joined on the first team by Carl Hardin and Jacob Lindh of Lamar, Francis Marion's Xavier Schwarz and Thomas Artigas of New Orleans. The second team was comprised of Glorioso, UIW's Carson Hunsucker, Lamar's David Schneider Jerez, UNO's Kyle Bennett and Chance Mulligan of Texas A&M-Commerce.

Each nominee must have a 3.25 minimum cumulative grade point average through the semester prior to the sports' championship and have completed at least one full year at the nominating institution.
