HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics was represented by 48 graduates at the university's Spring 2024 commencement exercises Saturday at the Pride Roofing University Center.
The newly crowned Southland Conference Tournament champion SLU softball team and the Lion baseball team led the department with eight graduates each.
The Southeastern indoor volleyball team, the reigning SLC regular season champions and the winner of the last two Southland Tournaments, was represented by six graduates Saturday. The SLU soccer and track and field teams followed with five graduates apiece.
The Lion football program graduated four Saturday, while the men's basketball and beach volleyball programs, as well as the national champion cheerleading and Lionnette dance squads were all represented by two graduates.
The Southeastern tennis and women's basketball program each had one graduate. Two members of the SLU Athletics support staff also received degrees Saturday.
