HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University softball team celebrates Senior Day, the baseball team faces a challenging road slate, the track teams host the Strawberry Relays, while the tennis, golf and beach volleyball teams will look to close their respective pre-Southland Conference Championship schedules on a high note during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Southeastern softball team (33-7, 10-2 SLC) carries a 10-game win streak into this week's action. SLU will open the week's action Wednesday with a 6 p.m. contest at No. 5 LSU. The Lady Lions will then return home to host Northwestern State for a three-game SLC series and the chance to retain the Cypress Trophy. The series opens with a 4 p.m. doubleheader Friday and concludes Saturday at noon.
 
Southeastern will celebrate Senior Day Saturday, as the Southeastern senior class of Lexi Johnson, Mary-Cathryn (MC) Comeaux, Ellie DuBois, Audrey Greely, Cera Blanchard, Bailey Krolczyk, Cam Goodman, Sadie Hewitt, Sophia Stoddard and Ka'Lyn Watson will be recognized following the game. Fans will also have the opportunity to win prizes by playing Bingo at the Ballpark at Saturday's contest.
 
The SLU baseball team (19-13, 3-6 SLC) will hit the road for four games this week, starting with a 6 p.m. contest Tuesday at Southern Miss. The Lions then head to Beaumont, Texas for a three-game Southland series at Lamar. The series opens Friday at 6 p.m., continues Saturday at 5 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
The Lion and Lady Lion track and field teams will host their lone home meet of the outdoor season this week. Southeastern will host the Strawberry Relays Friday at 9 a.m. at the Southeastern Track Complex.
 
Three Southeastern programs will participate in their final tuneups before the Southland Conference Championships later this month. The Southeastern tennis team (9-10, 2-4 SLC) closes its regular season Monday with a 2 p.m. conference match at New Orleans.
 
The SLU men's golf team will be in Kinder, Louisiana Monday and Tuesday to compete in the Koasati Pines Intercollegiate. The Beach Lions will be in Baton Rouge this weekend to compete in the Battle on the Bayou.
 
Southeastern will face ULM at 10 a.m. and Jacksonville at 4 p.m. Friday, before taking on league foe New Orleans at 9:15 a.m. and host LSU at 2 p.m. Saturday.
 
The 24th Annual Southeastern Louisiana University Tangi Tourism Coaches Memorial Golf Tournament will tee off Monday, April 8 at Greystone Country Club in Denham Springs.
 
Proceeds will benefit the Touchdown Club, the Lion Athletics Association coaches club for the Southeastern football program. This year's event honors the memories of Robert "Doc" Goodwin, Bob Mahfouz, Kerry "Mark" Varisco and Jerry Joe Dunaway.
 
The event, which consists of four-man teams, begins with a 10 a.m. start. Registration is set for 9 a.m. The entry fee is $150 per person or $600 per team. On the Air
All of the baseball action and the softball series will be televised on ESPN+. Wednesday's softball game will be seen on SEC Network+ and this week's baseball contests will air on 90.9 The Lion.
