HAMMOND, La. – After posting a pair of top-five finishes, Southeastern Louisiana University senior
Grayson Glorioso was named the Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Men's Golfer of the Month in an announcement from the league office Monday.
Glorioso earned his first monthly honor and is the first Lion to be recognized by the SLC in 2023-24.
After missing the first tournament of the spring, Glorioso debuted by shooting a nine-under par 207 and finishing in a tie for third place at the Colin Montgomerie HCU Invitational March 4-5. The Metairie, Louisiana native backed that performance up with a fourth-place showing at The Big Texan March 25-26, carding a 211 (-5) over 54 holes.
Five of Glorioso's six rounds this month were under par, including a low round of 66 in the second round of the Colin Montgomerie HCU Invitational. The Lions' lone senior posted a 69.67 stroke average for the month.
Glorioso and Southeastern will return to the course April 8-9 at the Koasati Pines Intercollegiate in Kinder, Louisiana. The tournament will be SLU's final tune-up for the SLC Championships April 22-24 in Kerrville, Texas.
