NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team split 1-1 Wednesday afternoon to open its six-match road stretch in California this week.
Southeastern (10-11, 3-4 SLC) opened serve with a 3-2 loss to CSUN (14-13) in the first match of the double header. The Matadors extended its two-game winning streak as SLU's pair two and four gained a spark to avoid the sweep.
The Lady Lions closed out the double header with a 4-1 victory over the Matadors to snap their two-match losing streak on the road. SLU secured its sixth 4-1 win of the season as Southeastern's top pair

Andrea Da Silva recouped to gain a 21-17, 22-20 two-set edge over CSUN. Senior
Ysabella Lockwood and sophomore
Mia McKinney also gained a 21-15, 21-15 advantage to aid in the win.
Wednesday's Results:
The Lady Lions will move on to Malibu, California to face Pepperdine Friday morning at 11 a.m. in the Waves Tournament. To finish day one Southeastern will return to the sand at 5 p.m. to take on UC Davis. SLU will kick off day two against CSU Bakersfield at 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon before closing out the weekend against Concordia University Irvine at 5 p.m.
