The Southeastern baseball team (22-21, 4-11 SLC) will open the week's action with a 6:30 p.m. nonconference contest at Tulane Tuesday. The Lions then return home to host New Orleans for the Ponchartrain Bowl series. The three-game set opens with a 6 p.m. contest Friday, continues Saturday at 6 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
Every Saturday at the Pat this season will give fans the opportunity to win prizes for Bingo at the Ballpark. This Saturday will also be Alumni Night, as former Lions in attendance will be recognized prior to the contest. Every SLU baseball home Sunday will be dedicated to military appreciation, as all active military will receive free admission with a valid military ID.
The SLU softball team (42-10, 17-4 SLC) will look to secure the top seed in next week's North Oaks Health System Southland Conference Tournament with a sweep of league leader McNeese this week. The series opens with a 6 p.m. contest Friday and concludes with a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday.
Southeastern will be no lower than the No. 2 seed in the league tournament, which is scheduled for May 7-10 in Hammond. Tournament tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at
