Da Silva and Hartmann Claim All-Conference Honors

Andrea Da Silva and Rachel Hartmann secure All-Conference Second Team Pairs

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team was represented by one pair on the Southland All-Conference team, in an announcement from the conference office Wednesday afternoon.

Southeastern's top pair Andrea Da Silva and Rachel Hartmann earned second-team honors as they remained locked in as pair one for the Lady Lions this season.

Da Silva, a junior from Andorra la Vella, Andorra, and Hartmann, a native of Slidell, Louisiana, finished the regular season with a record of 22-8. The dynamic duo obtained a seven-match winning streak earlier this season with wins over Oregon, New Orleans, Nicholls, Central Arkansas, Texas A&M-Kingsville and twice against Spring Hill.

The pair stands with a 73.3 winning percentage this season and has achieved the most wins in program history. Da Silva and Hartmann secured SLC Pair of the Week in week seven after gaining a 4-2 record on the road in California. The juniors won all four matches with dominating two sets to provide a spark throughout the week. The weekly award was the first of the pair's career.

Having just completed its third full season of competition, Da Silva and Hartmann further a historic milestone for the program as the tenth Southeastern student athletes to earn All-Conference honors on the sand.
