SUGAR LAND, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team finished fourth at the Colin Montgomerie-HCU Invitational which wrapped up Tuesday at Pecan-Sweetwater Country Club.
 
Southeastern finished the tournament with a team score of 853 (-11) and were six strokes out of the lead, as New Mexico Junior College held on to its day one lead and finished -17-under par over 54 holes. SLU was the top finisher out of the six Southland Conference schools participating in the tournament.
 
Grayson Glorioso was the Lions' top performer this week in in his spring debut. The Metarie, Louisiana native carded a 71 to finish nine-under par for the tournament and in a tie for third in the individual standings. Houston's Jacob Borow finished -16 for the tournament to earn individual medalist honors.
 
Glorioso was joined in the top five by teammate Griffin Dorr. Dorr, who entered the day two shots off the lead, finished in a tie for fifth after shooting eight-under par over three rounds. Landen East (+3, T40th), Patrick Blaum (+7, T54th) and Ethan Dial (+6, T62nd) were the other Lion performers.
 
This week's tournament was the second of four this spring for the Lions prior to the Southland Conference Championships April 22-24 in San Antonio. Southeastern will next return to competition March 25-26 at the Big Texas in Kerrville, Texas.
