HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball, softball, tennis, beach volleyball and track teams will all be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Southeastern baseball team (18-10, 3-3 SLC) continues a seven-game home stand this week, starting with Southern Miss visiting Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field Tuesday for a 6 p.m. contest. Every home Tuesday at the Pat is a $2 Tuesday, as fans receive $2 general admission and can purchase $2 hot dogs at the concession stand. Kids can also stand next to their favorite Lion during the national anthem.
 
SLU then welcomes Nicholls to town for a three-game Southland Conference series. The series opens Friday at 6 p.m., continues Saturday at 6 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
Friday is Scout Night, as all Boy and Girl Scouts get in free by wearing their scout uniform. Every Saturday at the Pat and North Oak Park this season will give fans the opportunity to win prizes for Bingo at the Ballpark. Every SLU baseball home Sunday will be dedicated to military appreciation, as all active military will receive free admission with a valid military ID.
 
The SLU softball team (28-7, 7-2 SLC) returns home to host Jackson State for a 4 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday at North Oak Park. Tuesday is Youth Sports Night, as kids eight grade and under will receive free admission by wearing their team's uniform, while kids can also stand with the Lady Lions during the national anthem.
 
The Lady Lions then head to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for a three-game SLC series. The series opens with a noon doubleheader Friday and concludes with a noon contest Saturday.
 
The Southeastern tennis team (7-10, 0-4 SLC) will hit the road for a pair of league matches. The Lions will open the week with a 1 p.m. at Lamar Monday, before traveling to Nicholls Friday for a 2 p.m. match.
 
The SLU beach volleyball team (9-10, 3-4 SLC) will head to California this week. Southeastern will open the week with a noon doubleheader at Cal State-Northridge Wednesday.
 
The Beach Lions will then participate in the Waves Tournament in Malibu, California. Friday will see SLU take on host Pepperdine at 11 a.m. and UC Davis at 6 p.m. The final matches of the tournament for Southeastern are set for Saturday against CSU Bakersfield (1 p.m.) and Concordia University Irvine (5 p.m.)
 
The Lion and Lady Lion track and field teams will continue the outdoor season this week. Southeastern heads to Baton Rouge to compete in the Pelican Relays Saturday.
 
On the Air
All of the baseball and softball action this week will be televised on ESPN+. This week's baseball contests will air on 90.9 The Lion.
