The Lions are coming off a six-medal performance at LSU's Keyth Talley Invitational on Saturday, led by

Terrell Webb took silver in the hammer throw while
Slavko Stevic won gold in the high jump,

Some of the best athletes among differing age groups and school levels will participate over the four days of competition. The action starts on Wednesday with the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon. With Southeastern not putting any competitors in the multis, the Lions open action on Thursday as the field events open with the hammer throw, javelin, and shot put for both the men and women. Track events on day two include the 400-meter hurdles, 800 and 1,500-meter runs, steeplechase, multiple type of relays, as well as 100-meter and 110-meter sprints before wrapping up the day with the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter runs.
Friday is another full day of action on both the track and in the field with relays and hurdles dominating the day on the track while the field events include discus, long jump, triple jump, and high jump.
Saturday will see the best of the best in action as the field events have the top flights of each discipline in action while the premier speedsters will take to the track for the invitational portion of the meet as athletes potentially vying for a national championship in Oregon later in the summer look to make top marks against each other.
The final three days of the 96
