NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team splits day three with a 1-1 record to close out the weekend in the Southland Mid-Season Invitational.
Southeastern (9-10, 3-4 SLC) opened serve for day three with a 4-1 loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (19-4, 7-0 SLC). The Islanders remain undefeated in conference while the Lady Lions' top pair battled to avoid the sweep on the road. Juniors

Rachel Hartmann secured their third win of the weekend with a tough three set edge over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The pair stands 17-3 this season to lead SLU.
The Lady Lions countered with a 4-1 victory over conference foe Nicholls (6-18, 0-7 SLC) to close out the conference showcase. Southeastern has defeated the Colonels twice this season with a 4-1 advantage. SLU finished the weekend with a 3-3 record to close out the Southland Mid-Season Invitational.
Sunday's Results:
SLU will have a bye week before traveling to Northridge, California to compete in the CSUN Tri Match Wednesday, April 3 at 2 p.m. The Lady Lions will move forward to compete at Pepperdine April 5-6.
