Southeastern Returns Home to Host Missouri State

Tuesday's match between SLU and the visiting Bears is set for 6 p.m.

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's tennis team will return home Tuesday to host Missouri State for a 6 p.m. nonconference contest at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The Lions (6-7) will be looking for back-to-back victories when the visiting Bears (7-4) come to town. SLU closed out a two-match road trip with a 4-0 victory at Louisiana Christian Sunday.

Bente Bierma continues to lead the Lions with a 6-4 singles record. Kate Oborina (5-1) and Panatchakorn Suanarsa (5-5) are right behind Bierma on the team's spring singles victory leaderboard.

Southeastern has used seven different doubles combinations this spring. Suanarsa and Bogi Csordas have won both of their matches as a pair since becoming a team earlier this month.

Missouri State will be attempting to bounce back from a narrow 4-3 loss at SIU-Edwardsville last time out. Nicole Ross boasts a team-best 7-2 singles mark for the Bears, while the duo of Juliette Robinson and Tuana Gunal are 6-3 this spring in doubles play.

Tuesday's match will be the last for the Lions for nearly two weeks. Following the contest versus Missouri State, SLU will next take the court March 23 at 2 p.m. at Southland Conference foe McNeese.
