HAMMOND, La. – With the 2024 season opener less than a month away,, the Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team announced its 2024 schedule Monday.

 "I'm really excited to see more program growth," said SLU head volleyball coach Jeremy White. "I think we added a great group of young women to an already competitive group putting us in a position to elevate our competitiveness within the Southland and the country."

SLU will begin its season on the road for its first two matches of the season at the Tulane Invitational Feb. 23-24, followed up by matches at Nicholls versus the Mary Hardin-Baylor and New Orleans March 2.

Southeastern is returning eight players from last season's team. Coach White also has high expectations for the seven added newcomers to this year's roster to continually reload and propel the program.

"We feel the individual improvements made by Bella Lockwood and Mia McKinney along with the additions of Andrea Da Silva and Maddie Shepston will play big parts in how successful we are this season," stated Coach White.

The Lady Lions for the first time in program history will present its own multi-day beach volleyball tournament on campus, the Southeastern Invitational, beginning March 8-9. Southeastern fans can highlight that weekend on their calendars for a highly anticipated event as SLU will host Spring Hill, Central Arkansas, Texas A&M-Kingsville and McNeese. Southeastern will face UCA at 1 p.m. and McNeese at 5 p.m. March 8, before closing the tournament with a 1 p.m. match versus Texas A&M-Kingsville March 9.

SLU will also face multiple power five opponents in South Carolina (March 16) and LSU (April 13) later in the season to compile a competitive schedule. Southeastern has 19 dates set in stone for its 2024 spring schedule that will conclude at the Southland Conference Tournament held at Third Coast in Houston, Texas April 19-21.
