NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Beach Volleyball team split two matches to end its season opening weekend in the Green Wave Invitational Saturday afternoon at the White Sands Volleyball Courts.

Mia Sauers swept their power five opponents. The Lady Lions ended with a 3-1 edge over Spring Hill College to complete day two of the tournament. McKinney/Sauers dominated with two consecutive matches won by two set advantages to help the Lady Lions gain a split decision to close out its season opening weekend.
Saturday's Results:
SLU (1-3) will remain on the road travelling to Nicholls State Mar. 2 for two matches against Mary Hardin-Baylor at 12:30 p.m. before competing against New Orleans at 4:30 p.m. to close out the day.
