HAMMOND, La. – After helping the Southeastern Louisiana University softball team to a 3-0 showing at the Lion Classic, SLU senior pitcher Ellie DuBois was named the Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week in an announcement from the league office Monday.
 
DuBois, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, earns her first SLC weekly honor this week. She is the second Lady Lion to earn league weekly accolades in as many weeks, as teammate Bailey Krolczyk was named SLC Hitter of the Week last Monday.
 
DuBois was 2-0 during a 3-1 week for SLU. She threw the final 1.2 innings in a 4-1 victory over Maryland Saturday, then took a no-hitter into the fifth inning in a 10-2 win over Southeast Missouri later that evening.
 
DuBois, the program's career and single-season saves leader, has a 4-0 record in the circle through nine games, posting a 1.80 earned run average and holding opponents to a .167 batting average in a team-high 20.0 innings pitched.
 
Southeastern will return to action Tuesday, hosting South Alabama at 5 p.m. at North Oak Park. The game will be televised on ESPN+ and live stats will be available at LionSports.net/sidearmstats/softball.
