HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University tennis team will look to close out the fall portion of its 2024-25 schedule on a high note, as it hosts the George E. Fourmaux Fed Cup Invitational Friday at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
Because of the threat of inclement weather this weekend, the tournament has been changed to a one-day event. Southeastern will be joined in the tournament field by in-state foes Loyola, Louisiana Christian and Dillard.
Southeastern will open the tournament with an 11 a.m. match versus Loyola, before playing LCU at 3 p.m. and Dillard at 5:30 p.m. Loyola takes on Louisiana Christian at 1 p.m. The tournament will be played under the Fed Cup format (four singles matches and one doubles match).

The tournament is named for Fourmaux, a former SLU assistant coach who lost his battle with cancer in February 2016.
The Lions will open the spring season Jan. 26, hosting LSU Alexandria at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
