HAMMOND, La. – The reigning two-time Southland Conference regular season and tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team will host the SLC Tournament, the football team closes the regular season with the River Bell Classic, while the basketball teams continue nonconference play on the road during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
After winning its second straight conference regular season championship and posting its first undefeated conference campaign, the SLU volleyball team (24-4) will be the top seed in the Southland Conference Tournament, which runs Friday through Sunday in the University Center.
 
The Lady Lions, who will be looking for its third straight league tournament title, will face East Texas A&M in Friday's first round at 7 p.m. Should SLU advance, it will face either UIW or UTRGV in Saturday's semifinals at 5 p.m. Sunday's championship match is set for 3 p.m. with the winner earning a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA Tournament field will be announced on Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. on ESPN.
 
The Southeastern football team (6-5, 5-1 SLC) will look to keep its own postseason hopes alive Thursday, when it travels to Nicholls for the 6 p.m. regular season finale in Thibodaux. With a win, the Lions will bolster their case to be included in the 24-team NCAA FCS playoff field, which will be unveiled Sunday at 11:30 a.m. on ESPNU.
 
The Lion men's basketball team (1-2) continues its 10-game road swing with a pair of games this week. SLU opens the week with a 6:30 p.m. contest at ULM Monday. Southeastern then heads to Wyoming for a 7:30 p.m. matchup Friday.
 
The SLU women's basketball team (2-1) also hits the road for two nonconference games this week. The Lady Lions start the week with a 7 p.m. contest at Memphis Tuesday, before heading to Ruston Saturday for a 3 p.m. matchup with Louisiana Tech.
 
On the Air
This week's volleyball, football and women's basketball action, as well as Monday's men's basketball game will air on ESPN+. Friday's men's basketball game will air on Mountain West Network, while Thursday's football game will air on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM).
