HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team will look to close out the fall portion of its 2024-25 schedule on a high note this week at the Husky Intercollegiate at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas.
Southeastern will be part of a nine-team field competing this week. The first two rounds are scheduled for Monday with the final round set for Tuesday. Live scoring, provided by host HCU, will be accessible via the men's golf schedule page at
www.LionSports.net.
The Lions and host Huskies will be joined by Southland Conference foes Stephen F. Austin, New Orleans, UIW and Texas A&M-Commerce, along with nonconference opponents California Baptist, Middle Tennessee State and DePaul.
Southeastern is coming off its best performance of the season, as the Lions finished second at the LaTour Intercollegiate last week. SLU, which shot a tournament-best 14-under par over the final 36 holes, will bring the same starting five to the fall finale.
Preston Paulk will look to build on a runner-up finish last week in Mathews, while fellow freshman teammate
Viggo Hed has finished under par in all three tournaments to start his collegiate career.
Patrick Blaum,
Griffin Dorr and
Landen East will also represent the Lions in Texas.
After the final fall tournament, the Lions will break before opening its spring schedule at the Bentwater Intercollegiate Feb. 10-11 in Montgomery, Texas.
