HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University celebrates Homecoming 2024 as the football, indoor volleyball, soccer, cross country, tennis and softball teams will be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Southeastern football team (3-4, 2-0 SLC) sits atop the Southland Conference standings heading into Saturday's 4 p.m. Homecoming contest versus Stephen F. Austin in Strawberry Stadium. The Homecoming parade is scheduled for noon, while the 2024 Homecoming King and Queen will be recognized at halftime of Saturday's contest.
The reigning SLC champion SLU indoor volleyball team (15-4, 7-0 SLC) boasts a 15-match winning streak heading into a pair of league road matches this week. The Lady Lions will be in Beaumont, Texas Thursday to face Lamar at 6:30 p.m. The top two teams in the conference standings will face off Saturday, when Southeastern takes on Stephen F. Austin at noon in Nacogdoches, Texas.
The Lady Lion soccer team (6-6-1, 5-2 SLC) will close out its regular season road schedule this week. SLU will head to HCU for a 3:30 p.m. league match Sunday.
The Southeastern men's and women's cross country teams will participate in their final meets before next month's SLC Championships. The Lions and Lady Lions will be in Clinton, Mississippi Friday to participate in the Watson College Invitational, hosted by Mississippi College. The men's 8K race is set for 8 a.m. with the women's 6K race following at 8:45 a.m.
The SLU women's tennis team will continue its fall schedule this week. Southeastern will be in New Orleans Friday and Saturday for the Dillard Invitational.
The reigning Southland Tournament champion Lady Lion softball team hosts a pair of scrimmages this week. SLU hosts Coastal Alabama Community College Wednesday and UA Rich Mountain Friday. Both 10-inning exhibition contests will start at 5 p.m. at North Oak Park.

st Annual Homecoming Golf Scramble presented by Tangi Tourism and Hampton Inn is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 a.m. at Oak Knoll Country Club in Hammond and all proceeds benefit the SLU golf program. Registration information is available by visiting
