HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's basketball teams continue Southland Conference play, the tennis team closes out its three-match road swing and the baseball program hosts the Alumni Game, Season Ticket Pickup event and inaugural Lion Baseball Auction presented by Wiseguys Daiquiris during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Southeastern men's basketball team (6-12, 1-4 SLC) will close out a three-game home stand Monday, hosting league and in-state foe Northwestern State at 6 p.m. in the Pride Roofing University Center. Saturday will see the Lions travel to Lamar for a 6 p.m. conference matchup.
The reigning Southland Conference champion SLU women's basketball team (10-7, 6-0 SLC) will hit the road looking to continue its unbeaten start to league play. The Lady Lions will be at HCU Thursday for a 6 p.m. contest, before heading to Beaumont, Texas to take on Lamar Saturday at 3 p.m.
The Southeastern tennis team (0-1) has a pair of matches away from home this week. SLU will head to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to take on Florida A&M Friday and Southern Miss Sunday. First serve is set for 1 p.m. for both matches.
Saturday will see the Lion baseball program host a day-long series of events in preparation for the 2024 season. SLU baseball season tickets holders can pick up their 2024 season tickets at 11 a.m. at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field ahead of the noon Alumni Game.
The alumni game features the 2024 Lions squad facing off against former Southeastern baseball stars at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. Admission to the scrimmage is free. Baseball alumni wishing to participate in the game are also asked to RSVP through operations director Cade Lanoux at baseball@southeastern.edu or (985) 549-5130.
The inaugural Lion Baseball Auction will be held on campus at Southeastern's War Memorial Student Union. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour running until 7 p.m. Attire is business casual.
The event includes dinner and a cash bar as well as both a live auction and a silent auction. Individual seats are $75, children (12 and under) are $25 and reserved corporate sponsor tables (eight seats per table) are available for $500. Fans are encouraged to reserve their space as soon as possible.

All of this week's basketball action will be televised on ESPN+, while both men's basketball games and Saturday's women's basketball contest will be heard in the Hammond area on 90.9 The Lion.
The latest episode of "Inside Southeastern Basketball with David Kiefer" airs Tuesday at 7 p.m. on 90.9 The Lion, live from the Hammond location of Rainbow Daiquiris (14834 W. Thomas St.). The show will air Tuesdays at 7 p.m. through March 5 with Kiefer and host Mark Willoughby discussing all things Lion Basketball.
