HAMMOND, La. – The reigning Southland Conference champion Southeastern Louisiana University indoor volleyball team will open its 2023 season this week, while the soccer team continues its road swing during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Lady Lion volleyball team will welcome Grambling, Washington and UTEP to the Pride Roofing University Center for the four-team round-robin Southeastern Showdown Friday and Saturday. SLU opens the tournament Friday with matches versus Grambling (12:30 p.m.) and Washington (6:30 p.m.).
Southeastern will unveil its conference championship banner in conjunction with Friday's match versus Washington and fans will have an opportunity to receive post-match autographs from the Lady Lions. SLU closes the tournament versus UTEP Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
The Southeastern women's soccer team (1-1-0) will continue its six-game road swing this week. SLU will travel to Ole Miss for a 6 p.m. contest Saturday.
Football season ticket holders can pick up their season tickets at the Season Ticket Pickup Party Saturday at 10 a.m. at Strawberry Stadium.
On the Air
All of Southeastern's volleyball matches will air on ESPN+, while Saturday's soccer match can be seen on SEC Network+.
