HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University junior catcher Bailey Krolczyk added to her list of postseason accolades Thursday, when she was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Region team in an announcement from the NFCA.
 
Krolczyk, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, is the seventh softball student-athlete to earn All-Region honors, joining Ella Manzer (2019), Jacquelyn Ramon (2019), Katie Lacour (2015), Dee Rancher (1999), Misty Wagner (1999) and Voncia Bookman (1992, 1993).
 
Krolczyk, the first Lady Lion to be named Southland Conference Player and Hitter of the Year, set new individual school-marks for longest hitting streak (22), extra-base hits (29) and total bases (117). One of four multi-time first team All-SLC selections in program history, Krolczyk led the Southland with a .661 slugging percentage, 1.057 OPS, 67 hits, 50 RBI, 18 doubles and 10 home runs, while also ranking among the league leaders with a .379 batting average (2^nd) and 39 runs (2^nd).
 
Krolczyk is one of four Southland Conference players to earn All-Region honors. Nicholls second baseman Erin Krause join Krolczyk on the All-South Region squad, while HCU outfielder AB Garcia and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi pitcher Primrose Aholelei were named to the All-Central Region team.
