HAMMOND, La. – A total of 66 members of the Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics family were among the over 1,100 graduates to have degrees conferred at the university's Spring 2023 commencement exercises Saturday in the Pride Roofing University Center.
 
SLU beach volleyball student-athlete Eryn Wilks received the highest honor a Southeastern graduate can earn, as she was one of 13 graduates to claim the President's Medal for Academic Excellence.
 
The track and field program led the department with 10 graduates Saturday, followed by the baseball and football programs with seven each. The women's soccer (six), men's golf (four), softball (four), men's basketball (three), volleyball (three), women's basketball (two), cheerleading (one) and Lionnette dance teams (one) all were represented among the student-athlete graduates.
 
Saturday's graduates also included 18 members of the Southeastern Athletics support staff, including 11 athletic trainers.
