HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University softball team will open a nine-game road swing Tuesday with a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Jackson State.

Southeastern heads to Jackson State riding a five-game win streak. SLU earned its first Southland Conference series sweep this past weekend, outscoring Texas A&M-Commerce, 21-2, in the three wins.
The Lady Lions have raised their team batting average to a league-best .315. Bailey Krolcyzk (.394, 3
rd) and
Maria Detillier (.354, 7
th) both rank in the SLC top 10, while
Audrey Greely (.333),
Lexi Johnson (.330),
Cam Goodman (.327),
Ka'Lyn Watson (.315) and
Madison Rayner (.307) all sit above .300.
Detillier leads the conference with a team-high 32 runs, while Krolczyk is third in the league with 41 hits.
Cam Goodman's 24 stolen bases leads the league for a Southeastern team that has 100 steals on the year.
Krolczyk leads the league with a .683 slugging percentage and is second in the league with 10 doubles. Johnson is the other top power hitter for SLU, pacing the conference with 35 RBI and four triples and sitting in second with seven home runs.
KK Ladner (9-1, 1.39 ERA) leads the Southland in earned run average, opposing batting average (.188) and strikeouts (112), as she and fellow SLU pitchers
Cera Blanchard (11-4, 2.46 ERA, 2 saves) and
Mary-Cathryn (MC) Comeaux (6-2, 2.43 ERA, 1 save) all rank in the league's top 10 in ERA, opposing batting average and wins.
Southeastern is second in the SLC with a 2.56 team ERA. Rounding out the staff are
Ellie DuBois (0-0, 5.57 ERA, 2 saves),
Alyssa Romano (1-0, 2.69 ERA),
Lainee Bailey (0-0, 3.71 ERA, 1 save),
Leah Marshall (1-0, 2.47 ERA) and
Chyanne Ellett (2-1, 11.12 ERA).
Jackson State heads into Tuesday's games with a .273 batting average and is led by Marissa Medina (.453, 6 2B, 3 HR, 16 RBI). Takiya Hill (3-8, 3.59 ERA), Macie Kuppenbender (3-3, 4.64 ERA) and Victoria Salazar (5-5, 3.98 ERA, 1 save) are the primary arms for a JSU pitching staff that has a 4.15 team ERA.
Following Tuesday's twin bill, SLU will next head to UIW for a three-game Southland series. The series opens with a 5 p.m. doubleheader Friday, concludes with a 1 p.m. contest Saturday and can be seen on ESPN+.
