Final Results

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Southland Conference Men's Golf Championships, which wrapped up Wednesday at the Hill Country Resort Golf Club.
 
Southeastern carded a 295 (+7) over the final 18 holes. Michael Landry led SLU with an even-par 72 over the final round.
 
The defending SLC champion Lions were supplanted by Augusta, which led wire-to-wire and finished with a six-under par tournament score of 858 to win by 14 strokes.
 
Southeastern's Charlie Forster earned All-Tournament honors, finishing with a 74 over the final 18 holes. Forster, who was the only player in the field with multiple eagles and second with 15 birdies, finished with a 209 (-7) for the tournament.
 
The Winchester, England native was second in the individual standings behind individual medalist Stefan Jacobs (-13). Jacobs and Forster were joined on the All-Tournament team by Grant Sellers of Francis Marion, Augusta's Behn Heyns, Grayson Gilbert of New Orleans and UIW's Angel Guerra.
 
Landry, who was fourth in the field with 37 pars, finished tied for 24^th (+8) and one shot ahead of teammate Grayson Glorioso (+9, 27^th). Patrick Blaum (+10, T28th) and Cameron Mobley (+19, 46^th) each posted their low round of the tournament on Wednesday, carding rounds of 73 and 76, respectively.
 
Augusta will find out its NCAA Regional destination May 3 at noon on the Golf Channel. A consistent 2023 that featured six top-10 finishes will have Forster in contention for competing in a regional as an individual.
