HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team defends its Southland Conference championship, while the baseball and softball teams continue league play during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Southeastern golf team will look for its second straight conference title when it participates in the SLC Golf Championships this week. The tournament runs Tuesday through Thursday at the Hill Country Resort Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas. Live scoring will be accessible via the men's golf schedule page at www.LionSports.net.
 
The SLU baseball team (19-18, 4-8 SLC) will return to action and continue a nine-game home stand this week. The Lions will host Lamar for a three-game Southland Conference series at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. The series opens Friday at 6 p.m., continues Saturday at 6 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
General admission tickets are available for $5 every Friday during the season. Fans will have a chance to win prizes by playing Baseball Bingo every home Saturday at the Pat. Saturday will also feature postgame fireworks. All military personnel (active and veterans) will receive free admission every Sunday with a military ID.  
 
The Lady Lion softball team (39-11, 14-4 SLC) closes its home schedule this week, welcoming McNeese for a three-game series that matches up the two top teams in the Southland standings. The series opens with a 4 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday and concludes with a 2 p.m. contest Wednesday.

The final round of the Southland Conference Men's Golf Championships, as well as all of this week's baseball and softball action will be televised on ESPN+.
 
The 2023 edition of Inside Southeastern Baseball with Matt Riser continues Monday at noon from the patio at Cate Street Seafood Station. Riser will join co-host Allen Waddell at lunchtime every Monday during the season for the 60-minute show, talking the latest in Southeastern baseball. Cate Street Seafood Station is located at 308 S. Cate Street, next to the railroad tracks in downtown Hammond. The show can be heard online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive and via both the Lions Gameday Experience and TuneIn apps.
