HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team has announced schedule changes for its next two Southland Conference matches at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
The Lions (6-7, 0-2 SLC) will face McNeese (12-2, 2-0 SLC) on Thursday at 3 p.m. up from the originally schedule Friday at 10 a.m. first serve. SLU's scheduled match versus Lamar (9-6, 1-0 SLC) Sunday at 10 a.m. has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 4 at 10 a.m.
Southeastern is led in singles play by
Putri Insani, who comes into the week's action with an 8-3 singles record.
Gabrielle Dekkers (6-4),
Kate Oborina (6-5) and
Carla Del Barrio (6-6) share second place on the team in singles victories.
Flory Bierma and
Putri Insani (7-4) boast SLU's best doubles record. Dekkers and Del Barrio have teamed for a 4-3 mark on the No. 2 doubles court.
Maria Wang Martinez leads McNeese with a 13-1 singles record this spring. Emma-Lou Pommiers and Tiana Fox have paired for a team-best 5-1 doubles mark on the No. 1 court for the Cowgirls.
Lamar is paced by Megan Do (9-2) in singles play. Margarita Nikonorova and Femke Tjon-A-Joe top the Cardinals roster with a 5-3 doubles showing this spring.
This week's action opens a four-match home stand for SLU. Following the McNeese and Lamar matches, SLU will host Nicholls at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
