BATON ROUGE, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University track & field team saw

Kristian Jackson put together back-to-back medal-winning performances for the Lions. In the shot put, she broke her personal best by 0.01m as her throw of 15.42m (50'7.25") was good enough to win bronze. She followed that with a 51.24m (168"1') throw in the discus which earned her SLU's second gold medal on the day and third medal overall.
Thomas Nedow continued his silver-worthy efforts as he added another second place this outdoor season after earning two last week, finishing on the medium-height podium step at LSU in the shot put with a throw of 16.28m (53'5").
Eugene Omalla added another silver to the SLU collection in the 400m dash, finishing in 47.07 seconds.
But it was the sixth and final medal of the day for the Lions which was the standard-setter for the rest of the country as Shiff finished the 400m hurdles course in 50.81 seconds, the new fastest time in all of NCAA Division I in that discipline.
