YOUNGSVILLE, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Beach Volleyball team earned another in-conference win to open play in a rain-delayed day one at the inaugural Southeastern Sugar Beach Slam, knocking off Nicholls State 4-1 to begin the day but dropped the nightcap to North Alabama 5-0 Friday at Sugar Beach at the Youngsville Sports Complex.

The Lady Lions (5-11, 2-3 SLC) close out the inaugural Southeastern Sugar Beach Slam on Saturday, including the final in-conference match which will be used to rank seeding for the conference tournament. SLU takes on New Orleans (8-6, 2-2 SLC) at 1:00 p.m. to open the final day of the event in SLC action and round out play at 5:00 p.m. against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (13-1). All matches at the Southeastern Sugar Beach Slam are played at Sugar Beach at the Youngsville Sports Complex.
 
DIGGIN' IT CLUB / S CLUB
Fans interested in becoming active supporters of the Southeastern volleyball program are encouraged to join the Diggin' It Club. Lion volleyball alums are encouraged to join the exclusive S Club, which is restricted to Southeastern athletic letter winners.
