HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Beach Volleyball team saw its first home match of the season come down to a third set in the final pairing to be decided, but the final point went the way of the visitors as the UTEP Miners took the deciding point to defeat the Lady Lions 3-2 Wednesday evening at the Southeastern Beach Volleyball Complex.
Wednesday's Results:
The Lady Lions (4-10, 1-3 SLC) head to Youngsville for the Southeastern Sugar Beach Slam starting on Friday. Southeastern will open play at 11:00 a.m. Friday in a conference contest against Nicholls State (2-11, 0-5 SLC) and wraps up day one at 5:00 p.m. looking to avenge an earlier loss this season to North Alabama (9-6). All matches of the Southeastern Sugar Beach Slam will be at Sugar Beach at the Youngsville Sports Complex.
