HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Beach Volleyball team comes home for the first time this season as the Lady Lions host the Texas-El Paso Miners Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Southeastern Beach Volleyball Complex.
 
The Lady Lions (4-9) look for a quality win before heading to Youngsville this weekend for the Southeastern Sugar Beach Slam when they host the Miners (1-7) on a busy day at North Oak Park with the SLU softball team in action while the volleyball match wraps up.
 
"We're excited to host for the first time this season," said SLU head volleyball coach Jeremy White. "We're going the enjoy the opportunity of playing on our court while facing the challenge of playing a first-year program that is growing. We'd love to see people come out and support us. We're going to try to do our part to start an exciting Wednesday at North Oak Park with a win."
 
Southeastern enters this week's action having gone 1-3 last weekend at the Southland Showcase, picking up a win against San Jose State on Sunday morning to end a six-match skid before falling to Houston Christian to close out the weekend.
 
UTEP is coming off its first win in program history, having knocked off NAIA-side The Master's University in its final match at the Cal State-Bakersfield Tournament last weekend. The program, playing in its first season this year, has spent its first two weekends of its existence out west, having played in Tucson, Ari. before last weekend's trip to California.
 
The match between SLU and UTEP starts at 4:00 p.m. at the Southeastern Beach Volleyball Complex, right behind the right field wall at North Oak Park.
 
DIGGIN' IT CLUB / S CLUB
Fans interested in becoming active supporters of the Southeastern volleyball program are encouraged to join the Diggin' It Club. Lion volleyball alums are encouraged to join the exclusive S Club, which is restricted to Southeastern athletic letter winners.
