Southeastern Hosts Gonzaga

SLU (4-4) continues four-match home stand Tuesday at 2 p.m.

HAMMOND, La.  – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's tennis team returns to action Tuesday, hosting Gonzaga for a 2 p.m. nonconference match Tuesday at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
 
SLU (4-4) is coming off a 7-0 victory over Bradley Saturday – the team's fourth win in its past five matches. Gabrielle Dekkers, Carla Del Barrio, Kate Obrorina and Alba Perez each won in both singles and doubles play to help the Lions to victory.
 
Southeastern is led in singles play by Putri Insani, who holds a team-best 6-0 record this spring. Del Barrio (5-2), Flory Bierma (5-3), Dekkers (4-2), Perez (4-2) and Bogi Csordas (2-0) all boast above .500 singles marks.
 
SLU is led in doubles play by Bierma and Insani, who have teamed for a 4-2 record on the feature doubles court. On No. 2, Dekkers and Del Barrio have won both of their doubles outings this spring.
 
Gonzaga comes to Hammond with a 6-5 record. Rose Hayes has a team-best 7-2 singles mark, while Cate Broerman and Adrianna Sosnowska lead the Bulldogs with five doubles victories.
 
Tuesday's match is the second of four straight home matches for Southeastern. The Lions host Bryant Friday at 1 p.m. and NJIT Saturday at 11 a.m.
