HOUSTON, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University Beach Volleyball team ended a six-match skid on Sunday as the Lady Lions knocked off San Jose State Spartans 3-2 to open the final day of the Southland Showcase, but were deprived an even weekend by dropping the final match of the event to the host Houston Christian Huskies 4-1 at the Third Coast Volleyball Club.
Sunday's Results:
The Lady Lions (4-9, 1-3 SLC) come home for the first time this season on Wednesday for a dual match against Texas-El Paso. Opening serve for Wednesday's match against the Miners (1-7, 0-0 CUSA) is set for 4:00 p.m. at the Southeastern Beach Volleyball Complex.
