HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University track & field team will have a representative at this year's NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships as Slavko Stevic's spot in the event was officially confirmed.
 
Stevic, a junior from Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, secured his spot in the NCAA Indoor Nationals this past Sunday at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships as he took the gold medal in the high jump event by clearing 2.21m (7'3"), setting a new personal best and school indoor record while tying him for the ninth best jump in the 2023 NCAA Indoor Season and getting him in position to qualify for the top-16, the mark needed to qualify.
 
He took gold in the high jump in five of the six events Southeastern competed in during the 2023 indoor season, taking silver in the other.
 
The 2023 NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship runs March 10-11 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. with the high jump taking place on the second day of competition with the high jump competition starting at 2:00 p.m. CST/1:00 p.m. MST.
