Day One Results
DIAMONDHEAD, Miss. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team sits in a tie for fourth place following the opening two rounds of the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Monday at the Diamondhead Country Club.
The defending Southland Conference champion Lions carded a two-round score of 601 (+25) over the 6,769-yard par course. SLU trails day one leader North Alabama by 10 strokes after 36 holes.
SLU was led by
Charlie Forster Monday. The Winchester, England native shot one-under par on the day and sits in third place on the individual leaderboard – four shots back of day one leader Francois Jacobs of North Alabama.
Forster's day was highlighted by a round of 70 (-2) in the second round of the day. After bogeying the fifth hole of the round, Forster didn't give back another shot, mixing in three birdies over the final 13 holes of the round.
Grayson Glorioso joined Forster in the top 20 after Monday's action, posting back-to-back rounds of 76 to sit in a tie for 19
th. Rounding out the Lions' five were
Michael Landry (+9, T24),
Patrick Blaum (+9, T24) and
Cameron Mobley (+13, T38).
Southeastern will be paired with UNA, Jacksonville State and Stephen F. Austin for the final 18 holes Tuesday. Tee time for the final round is 8 a.m. and live results, provided by host New Orleans, will be accessible via the golf schedule page at
