Southeastern Travels to Southern, Jackson State

SLU faces Southern Saturday, JSU Sunday; First serve for both weekend matches at 1 p.m.

HAMMOND, La.  – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's tennis team will hit the road for a pair of nonconference matches this weekend.

The Lions (1-3) will open the weekend Saturday at Southern. SLU then heads to Jackson State Sunday. First serve is set for 1 p.m. for both matches.
 
Reigning Southland Conference Player of the Week Putri Insani leads Southeastern with a 4-0 singles record this spring. Carla Del Barrio (3-1) has won her last three singles matches for the Lions, while Flory Bierma and Gabrielle Dekkers are both 2-2.
 
Insani and Bierma have won their last two doubles outings to even their spring record at 2-2 on the No. 1 court. Playing on court 2, Dekkers and Panatchakorn Suanarsa are also 2-2.
 
Following this weekend's action, Southeastern will face Houston March 5 at 9 a.m. in New Orleans.
