Jr. Slavko Stevic jumped 2.15m (7'0.5") at the LSU Twilight meet
FRISCO, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University track & field team got its second conference weekly honor as
Slavko Stevic was named the Southland Conference's Field Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
Stevic, a junior from Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, reset his 2023 indoor season personal best in the long jump with a leap of 2.15m (7'0.5") at the LSU Twilight meet on Friday, good enough to take home gold from Baton Rouge. That jump is the best of any Southland Conference athlete this indoor season, fourth best in the South-Central Region, and 22
nd best in the nation, putting him in position for a chance to qualify for the NCAA National Indoor Championships.
This honor for Stevic is the second for Southeastern this season as
Thomas Nedow was also named Field Athlete of the Week back on Jan. 18

The Lions look to bring home a Southland Conference championship this weekend as well as earn qualifications for the NCAA National Indoor Championships at the Conference Championships which runs Sunday and Monday, Feb. 26

th in Birmingham, Ala. at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
