Lions Look to Finish Fall Strong at LaTour Intercollege

SLU one of six SLC teams in 10-team field Monday and Tuesday in Mathews

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team will look to close out the fall portion of its 2023-24 schedule on a positive note, when it travels to the LaTour Intercollegiate set for Monday and Tuesday at the LaTour Golf Club in Mathews, Louisiana.

Southeastern will have a good gauge where it stands at the end of fall among Southland Conference competition, as six of the 10 teams in the tournament field are SLC institutions. SLU, host Nicholls, HCU, UIW, New Orleans and Texas A&M-Commerce will represent the Southland, while Mobile, Prairie View, Stephen F. Austin and Texas Southern round out the field.

The Lions will be paired with SFA and UIW for Monday's first two rounds, which tee off on the par-72, 7,170-yard course at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring, provided by the host Colonels, will be accessible on the golf schedule page at www.LionSports.net.

Senior Grayson Glorioso has been the top finisher for Southeastern in each of its four tournaments this fall and will be in the lineup once again this week. The Metairie, Louisiana native will be joined by Griffin Dorr, Colby Sullivan, Landen East and Patrick Blaum.

Tuesday's final round is also set for 8:30 a.m. SLU is looking to continue the positive momentum after a sixth-place showing at last week's MartinFed Invitational.
