HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football, volleyball, soccer, golf, tennis and softball teams will all be in action, while SLU football assistant coach Tom Rinaldi will be featured on Fox Big Noon Kickoff during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The reigning Southland Conference champion SLU football team (0-7, 0-3 SLC) will travel to Natchitoches to continue Southland play. The Lions will face Northwestern State Saturday at 2 p.m.
The reigning SLC Tournament champion Southeastern volleyball team (18-4, 9-1 SLC) will look to extend its 12-match winning streak with a pair of SLC road contests. SLU opens its road swing with a 6:30 p.m. match at HCU Thursday. The Lady Lions head to Texas A&M-Commerce Saturday for an 11 a.m. matchup.
The Lady Lion soccer team (5-9, 3-4 SLC) will close out its home schedule this week. Prior to Sunday's 5 p.m. match versus Nicholls, SLU will honor its 2023 senior class in a special Senior Day ceremony. Southeastern will look to keep the Crystal Cup for the third straight season when it hosts its SLC rival Colonels.
The SLU golf team will continue its fall schedule this week. The Lions will be in Killen, Alabama to compete in the MartinFed Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
The Southeastern tennis team will also continue its fall schedule this week. Members of the SLU roster will be in New Orleans for the Dillard Invitational Friday and Saturday.
The Lady Lion softball team has a pair of fall exhibition games on tap this week. Southeastern faces UL Lafayette Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Hinds Community College Friday at noon in 10-inning exhibition games at North Oak Park.

All of this week's football, volleyball and soccer action will be televised on ESPN+. The Southeastern football game at Northwestern State can also be heard on Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM. Sunday's soccer game can also be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU 90.9 FM.
Southeastern football assistant coach Tom Rinaldi will be featured on Fox Big Noon Kickoff Saturday at 9 a.m. on Fox.
The 2023 season of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo continues Monday at 7 p.m. at Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux (305 CM Fagan Dr.). The weekly show will air each Monday during the football season on Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM. Rob Tedesco of Jersey Mike's will be featured as Monday's Community Spotlight guest.
